Toscana Foto Festival
Over the years, the Tuscany Photography Festival has become the most important date in the Italian calendar for photography enthusiasts and one of the most acclaimed at international level. Now in its 15th year, this festival dedicated to photography awaits the enthusiasts with exhibitions, workshops, projections, meetings, competitions and shows.
Every year, various high-level workshops are available, dedicated to the most varied areas of photography: from glamour to reporting, nudes to the environment, the classic approach to the most innovative. Visitors can learn by working side by side with photography's grand masters.
Under the guidance of Franco Fontana, contemporary grand masters of photography come to Massa Marittima to describe their experience in seminars. For the 2008 edition the following masters are confirmed: Gabriele Rigon, Antonio Guccione, Roberto Rocchi, Francesco Cito.
The large space provides space for the culture of photography. The Tuscan Photography Festival implies exhibitions by the grand masters against the unequalled background of Massa Marittima.
The Tuscany Photography Festival is also a launch pad for new talent: every year, the festival proposes photography competitions, assigning awards and study bursaries. Participation is open.
Where: the festival is held at Massa Marittima, a small town in the Province of Grosseto, famous for its cathedral and the medieval cloth which is incredibly intact.
